Excellent collection of Bible Places Photos (some free)

Power point slides of Bible places can really enhance a message or worship setting. This site offers excellent views as well as some ideas as to how to use them. Obviously, they are hoping you will buy some of the CD images, but the site is helpful for many reasons - including the small introductory remarks of a site next to the photo, and especially the linked bibliographies to serious works about the sites. Learning Biblical Hebrew Resource Site

Jewish site excellent with Biblical background articles and materials

This site is for the armchair archaeologist or serious Bible student. I truly enjoyed the range of articles, though most written from a different point of view than the average Pastor would normally express. Link.

Mega site for Bible research and background materials

I admit I was put off by the "tone" of some of this site, but I believe they are probably fine Christians. Their site introduces itself:

Basic Bible Atlas maps online

Both "3-D" map looks and a basic Bible atlas are online at: link. I am still partial to Bailey and MacMillan, but if you want a very well illustrated map free and fast, this is a great site!
